Cajun and Zydeco music and dance are the unique products of the French-speaking Cajun and Creole people of the bayous, swamps, and prairies of South Louisiana and Southeast Texas.
Krewe de Walleye is a group that sponsors, organizes, and supports Cajun and Zydeco music and dance activities by:
- Hosting dances with Cajun and Zydeco bands from the Twin Cities, the Midwest Region, and Louisiana
- Sponsoring Cajun and Zydeco dance lessons and music workshops
- Informing people about Cajun and Zydeco music and dance, and Cajun and Creole culture
- Promoting Cajun and Zydeco music and dance activities, including dance cruises, lessons, trips to area festivals, and house parties
